Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval won reelection on Tuesday, defeating Cory Bowman, the half-brother of Vice President Vance.

Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb and Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz declared victory in their races. Kapszukiewicz will be Toledo’s first mayor to serve three consecutive terms.

Dayton Mayor Jeffrey Mims Jr. faced a challenge from City Commissioner Shenise Turner-Sloss. You can find the latest results at Montgomery County’s election website.

Article Icon 1Firefighters Unharmed in Museum Explosion

Four firefighters escaped unharmed from an explosion triggered by a gas leak at Kelton House Museum and Garden in downtown Columbus on Monday.

The museum was heavily damaged and at risk of collapse, and several outbuildings behind the main house were “completely leveled.”

The explosion took place soon after the firefighters had entered the evacuated building to investigate the gas leak.

The mansion, built in 1852, was a stop on the Underground Railroad. Today, it’s owned and operated by the Junior League of Columbus.

Firefighters were able to recover some historical artifacts from the building.
