Article Icon 1Booted Candidate Appeals

A federal judge ruled a primary challenger to U.S. Rep. Mike Carey, R-Columbus, will remain off the Republican ballot for allegedly misrepresenting his party affiliation.

The candidate, Samuel Ronan, previously ran for public office as a Democrat, and social media comments attributed to Ronan appear to show his support for Democrats running as Republicans “just to get a foot in the door.”

Republican members of the Franklin County Board of Elections, joined by Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, voted to remove Ronan from the May 5 ballot.

Ronan has petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene on his behalf. A response to his application for an injunction is due by noon today.

Article Icon 1Guardians Star Sets Record

Cleveland Guardians All-Star third baseman Jose Ramirez played in his 1,620th game with the club on Monday, setting the franchise record for games played in a Cleveland uniform.

Ramirez passed Terry Turner’s previous mark of 1,619 games, set from 1904 to 1918. Ramirez is now the only active MLB player who holds his franchise’s all-time games-played record.

Ramirez debuted for the Cleveland Indians on Sept. 1, 2013. Since then, he has been part of six American League Central title-winning teams, including the 2016 AL champions. He is also the only player in Cleveland history with at least 250 home runs and 250 stolen bases.

According to ESPN, 21 of the 31 franchise leaders in games played have been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Article Icon 1Tornadoes Active Early

Ohio this year has already recorded 10 tornadoes—nearly half its annual statewide average—with its most active months for twisters still ahead.

The state typically sees 20 to 25 tornadoes a year, with activity usually peaking in June, followed by May and April.

In 2024, 74 twisters set a state record. The strongest tornado that year was an EF3 that traveled 32 miles through Logan and Auglaize counties.

Last week, tornadoes touched down in Geauga, Wayne, and Defiance counties. So far, each of this year’s twisters has been rated EF0 or EF1, or on the low end of the Enhanced Fujita scale.

One Day Left to Invest in the ‘Nvidia of Energy’ at $7.77/share

Nvidia’s valuation surged by 1,092% in just three years when it became the backbone of AI. But AI has a massive energy problem Nvidia can’t fix

As AI data centers begin consuming more power than entire nations like Sweden or Argentina, Frontieras North America’s patented technology reforms coal into high-value commodities like hydrogen and diesel without burning it. It creates a technical carbon to replace coal that burns as clean as natural gas. Under a White House that favors energy production on our home soil, it could unlock up to $2.1 Trillion in energy potential.

Here’s why you shouldn’t miss this last chance to invest at $7.77/share

  • “FASF” ticker reserved on the NASDAQ

  • $850M flagship facility in development

  • $20 million raised from investors so far

As a perfect storm of breakthroughs sets up the company for potential valuation impact, you have just one day left to invest at the current price. Lock in the $7.77 share price before the window closes on April 9, 2026.

The Next $435B Energy Empire Is Being Minted

In today’s dollars, John D. Rockefeller would be worth $435 billion. But “oil money” is old news, and what’s next might surprise investors in 2026: a $2.1 Trillion opportunity in “clean” coal.

Now is the “Rockefeller” moment for Frontieras as they reform coal into hydrogen, diesel and other valuable commodities (just like Rockefeller did with oil). With a White House that favors domestic energy, the NASDAQ ticker FASF reserved, and land officially purchased for their flagship coal reformation plant, Frontieras is positioned for potential valuation impact.
