Article Icon 1Bengals, Hamilton County Reach Deal

Hamilton County and the Cincinnati Bengals have agreed on the framework for a new lease that would keep the team at Paycor Stadium.

The deal was reached just four days before the team’s June 30 deadline to extend its current lease.

Under the new terms, Hamilton County will cover 75% of stadium renovation costs, down from 88% in the previous lease. Both parties also plan to seek additional state funding.

Hamilton County would contribute $350 million, while the Bengals would pay $120 million. The $470 million total is significantly less than the $830 million renovation plan proposed in April.
