Article Icon 1Property Tax Rates Among Nation’s Highest

Ohio’s property tax rates rank among the highest in the nation, a Tax Foundation study found.

Within the state, Delaware County leads for the highest median property tax bill at $6,896 per year, followed by Geauga, Franklin, Warren, and Greene counties.

Realtor.com reports Ohio could become “ground zero” for property tax issues, as Mahoning County’s delinquency rate hits 18% and Cuyahoga County property values surge by 32%.

Earlier this summer, Warren County auditor Matt Nolan said Ohioans could face property tax increases of up to 25% in the coming years without legislative reform.

Article Icon 1Rivian Sues Over Direct Sales Ban

Rivian filed a federal lawsuit challenging Ohio’s ban on direct-to-consumer auto sales, arguing the restriction limits competition and consumer choice in the state.

Currently, state law prevents residents from purchasing Rivian vehicles directly, a policy that Rivian says puts its company at a disadvantage.

In comparison, Tesla is allowed to sell vehicles directly to Ohio customers under a 2013 exemption, a carveout Rivian claims creates an unequal playing field.

The lawsuit is Rivian’s first targeting a state over direct-sales bans.

The property was designed by Ted Van Fossen and inspired by the iconic style of Frank Lloyd Wright. Photos of the home can be seen here.

Known as the Tower House or Turner House, the residence features a central entry on the middle floor, with bedrooms situated on levels above and below.

Other features include patios, balconies, two-story windows, two fireplaces, and a half-acre lot with a stream.

From a Caltech Garage to a $1 Trillion Market

In 2016, some innovative Caltech robotics students set out to transform fast food. That first garage-built prototype became Miso Robotics.

Since then, Miso’s robots have worked 200K+ hours in live kitchens for brands like White Castle, frying over 4 million baskets of fries, chicken, and more. That traction convinced NVIDIA, Uber AI, and Amazon to help refine Miso’s AI and robots. As restaurants grapple with 144% employee turnover rates and $20/hour minimum wages, that’s a major edge.

It’s no wonder Miso’s first fully commercial robot, Flippy Fry Station, sold out of initial units in one week.

Now, Miso is going nationwide and scaling its U.S.-based manufacturing across a $4 billion/year revenue opportunity. As an investor, you can get up to 8% bonus stock.

Just don’t wait too long; Miso’s share price will change on Aug. 14.
