A Michigan man charged in an alleged Halloween terror plot also scouted Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, authorities said.

Ayob Nasser, Mohmed Ali, Majed Mahmoud, and two unnamed minors are accused of involvement in an alleged Islamic State-inspired plot to attack LGBT bars near Detroit on Halloween.

Nasser and one of the minors twice traveled to what court documents call “an amusement park in the Midwest, approximately three hours from Dearborn, Michigan.”

Cedar Point confirmed that the individuals visited the park and said that it assisted the FBI in its investigation.

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) will operate with reduced flight traffic beginning today after cuts by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The FAA said it would decrease flight capacity by 10% at more than 40 airports nationwide because of the federal government shutdown. CVG was the only airport listed that primarily serves an Ohio metro area.

FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the cuts are a precaution in anticipation of staffing shortages if the government shutdown continues.

It was not immediately clear how many CVG flights will be eliminated. See a map and complete list of affected airports here.

Article Icon 1Snow Possible This Weekend

Parts of Ohio could see their first winter weather of the season from this weekend into Monday.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland said most of the state will turn colder, and the Cleveland metro area could see lake-effect snow Sunday night into Monday.

In central and southern Ohio, the NWS in Wilmington forecast a mix of rain and flurries Sunday evening. It expects roadways to be too warm for significant snow accumulation.

Cleveland typically gets its first snowflakes in early November, while central and southern Ohio usually see theirs midmonth.
