Miller Remains in Race Amid Allegations

U.S. Rep. Max Miller, R-Rocky River, said he will remain in his reelection race despite escalating domestic abuse allegations and a public call from U.S. Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, for him to resign.

During a livestream Sunday, Miller denied abusing his former wife, Emily Moreno, and their 2-year-old daughter. He also released investigative and court records from the custody dispute and said no court or government agency had substantiated the allegations.

Moreno, Emily Moreno’s father, said Miller should leave Congress and seek “serious psychological help.” A representative for Emily Moreno called Miller’s video “shameful” and accused him of using their child to protect his political career.

Miller said he expects to win in November. Republicans face a Wednesday deadline to replace him on the ballot if he withdraws.

Kaptur Hospitalized After Hit-Skip

U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur, D-Toledo, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle hit-skip crash Sunday morning in Toledo.

Police said officers responded around 10:48 a.m. near Detroit and Central avenues. Kaptur’s office said she was a passenger traveling to a church service when the vehicle was struck.

A witness said the other driver left in another vehicle shortly after the collision. Kaptur’s office said she was “active, alert” and expected to return to her full schedule soon. Police continued investigating Sunday.

Ohio Cities Diverge on Fitness

Cincinnati led Ohio’s four ranked cities at No. 27 in the 2026 American Fitness Index, an annual comparison of the nation’s 100 largest cities.

Cleveland ranked No. 41, Columbus No. 52, and Toledo No. 81. Arlington, Virginia, finished first for the ninth consecutive year. You can view the complete report here.
