The U.S. House passed three bills aimed at limiting the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) influence in K-12 classrooms, including one introduced by Ohio Rep. Dave Joyce.

The Combating the Lies of Authoritarians in School Systems (CLASS) Act would prohibit schools that receive federal funding from accepting money from, or entering into contracts with, the Chinese government or entities acting on its behalf.

It would also require schools to disclose any foreign funding and contracts to the U.S. Department of Education.

Joyce said the CCP’s efforts to influence American children threaten the integrity of the nation’s education system. In addition to the CLASS Act, the House also passed the PROTECT Our Kids Act and the TRACE Act.

Vocal Fusion, a Canton-based a cappella group, performed at the White House on Saturday as part of the White House’s annual Christmas celebration.

The group’s two-hour performance included both traditional and contemporary Christmas carols. You can watch part of the performance here.

“It’s a really, really cool opportunity and not only for our organization, but for Stark County, for Canton, for Ohio, to be able to represent them and show that something cool can come from this little part of the country,” co-executive director Cory Boosz said.

Vocal Fusion will perform locally on Dec. 12-13 for Christmas at the Palace at Canton’s Palace Theatre.

Gold has been stealing the headlines all year… but the quiet story almost no one is talking about is silver.

The price of silver quietly doubled in 2025—and the reason has nothing to do with Wall Street hype.

Silver isn’t just a precious metal. It’s an industrial necessity. Solar panels, EVs, medical tech, electronics—they all consume silver, and once it’s used, it’s gone for good.

Supply is falling short, demand keeps climbing, and analysts now believe silver’s supply crunch could create another massive silver boom in 2026.

Anchor Point Research just released The Silver Report, a free special report that breaks this all down in plain English:

  • Why do many experts call silver the most undervalued metal today

  • Why analysts see silver with far greater upside than gold

  • How industrial demand is creating a structural shortage

  • How to get started investing in silver
