Question: In which Ohio town was a nearly complete mastodon skeleton found?

Answer: Johnstown. On Aug. 12, 1926, tenant farmer James Bailey discovered the skeleton of a mastodon on the farm of Friend Butt. A Newark businessman later purchased the skeleton and sold it to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, where it is still on display.
