Rock Hall of Fame Inductees Announced
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland revealed its 2025 class on Sunday during American Idol. The inductees are Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Soundgarden, and The White Stripes.
Fourteen nominees were considered. Artists that didn’t make this year’s cut include The Black Crowes, Billy Idol, Maná, Phish, Mariah Carey, Oasis, and Joy Division/New Order.
The Hall of Fame also announced other award winners. Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon were honored with the Musical Influence Award, while Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, and Carol Kaye received the Musical Excellence Award. Lenny Waronker earned the Ahmet Ertegun Award for his leadership in the music industry.
This year’s induction ceremony will take place on Nov. 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
