A man was arrested early Monday morning after vandalizing and possibly trying to break into Vice President JD Vance’s home in Cincinnati, police said. Vance and his family were in Washington, D.C., at the time.

The suspect, William Defoor, the 26-year-old son of a wealthy donor to President Biden and Kamala Harris, was arrested after U.S. Secret Service agents in the area detained him after he broke windows at the home.

Vance addressed the incident on social media, saying, “As far as I can tell, a crazy person tried to break in by hammering the windows. I’m grateful to the Secret Service and the Cincinnati police for responding quickly.”

The Secret Service said Defoor is being held on local charges pending further investigation.

Three Ohio cities rank among the 11 most expensive U.S. cities for medical care based on income levels, according to a WalletHub analysis of the nation’s 100 largest cities.

Cleveland ranked No. 2, Toledo No. 4, and Cincinnati No. 11, based on how much of residents’ paychecks go toward medical care.

In Cleveland and Toledo, more than 11% of the median monthly household income went toward healthcare, and in Cincinnati the amount was 9%. Columbus ranked No. 64 at 6.09%.

Article Icon 1Browns Fire Stefanski

The Cleveland Browns on Monday fired head coach Kevin Stefanski after six seasons, following the team’s 5-12 record this year and a second straight last-place finish in the AFC North.

Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bengals said head coach Zac Taylor and director of player personnel Duke Tobin will return for another year after the team’s 6-11 season.

Stefanski led the Browns to two playoff appearances between 2020 and 2023, and the team’s 55% winning percentage during that period ranked as its best since 1986-1989.

Cleveland will retain general manager Andrew Berry, who was hired in 2020 alongside Stefanski.
