An Allegiant Air flight from Clearwater, Florida, to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport was evacuated before takeoff Friday after a flight attendant found a bomb threat written on a bathroom door.

Passengers remained in Florida overnight and reboarded Saturday morning. The flight arrived safely in Cincinnati at 10:28 a.m. Saturday, with passengers receiving compensation for the disruption.

Authorities said the threat appeared broad in nature, targeting all Allegiant flights. Bomb-sniffing dogs did not find any explosives. Allegiant officials said the threat was deemed non-credible.

Article Icon 1 Parents’ Lawsuit Dismissed

A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit against Hilliard City Schools in which parents claimed the district pressured a student to change her gender identity.

The judge ruled that the claim fell outside a two-year statute of limitations and that a separate claim of emotional distress belonged in state court rather than federal court.

The judge previously dismissed a complaint over allegations that school staff members wore LGBTQ-themed badges with QR codes linking to websites with sexually explicit content.

Hilliard City Schools maintains that the lawsuit misrepresents its policies.
