Article Icon 1Trump Pardons Former Cincinnati Council Member

President Trump has pardoned former Cincinnati City Council member P.G. Sittenfeld, who was convicted in 2022 of bribery and attempted extortion and sentenced to 16 months in prison.

Sittenfeld, once a leading Democratic mayoral candidate, served about four and a half months before being released pending an appeal that was ultimately denied.

Federal prosecutors alleged Sittenfeld solicited $20,000 in campaign donations in exchange for support of a downtown development project. Sittenfeld has maintained his innocence.

In response to the pardon, Vice Mayor Jan-Michele Kearney released a statement encouraging Sittenfeld to resume public service in Cincinnati.

Article Icon 1Cleveland Clinic Reverses Controversial Copay Policy

Cleveland Clinic has reversed a policy announced earlier this month that would have required patients to pay copays upfront for non-emergency and outpatient visits or face rescheduling.

Now, patients unable to pay copays at the time of their visit can proceed with their appointments and pay over time through a 0% interest plan.

The reversal comes after strong criticism from community members and city officials, as well as a complaint filed in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas aimed at blocking the policy.

Critics argued the original policy would have unfairly impacted low-income residents and jeopardized access to care.

Boeing has confirmed a more than $50 million investment in the Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center in Heath, extending its lease through 2038 with an option to continue through 2043.

The facility specializes in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aerospace and defense guidance and navigation systems, as well as radar antenna manufacturing.

The Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority will invest nearly $3 million to build an on-site sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) to attract future defense projects.

Hello!

My name is Cole, and I’m the CEO here at The Ohio Flyover.

I’ve had plenty of jobs in my life. Before I found my way into several digital media roles, I had some dirty jobs—the kind that would make Mike Rowe proud. Flowback driver in the oilfield, drywall hauler, medical janitor, home flood restoration tech.

Without a doubt, my favorite job has been running The Ohio Flyover.

And not just because it doesn’t rain indoors.

I grew up in Flyover Country, and I’ve felt keenly the way that traditional news media brands have left most of America behind. I believe in the mission of The Ohio Flyover: to deliver a free, top-notch news publication without the bias that’s driven most of us away from mainstream media.

Every day, I get to come to work to help build something I believe in.

Over 20,000 Americans believe in The Ohio Flyover, too, and it’s an honor to serve you every day.

If you appreciate what we deliver, would you support us directly?

We’re an independent small business, and our advertisers don’t completely cover the revenue that we depend on.

I would appreciate a donation. They allow us to keep building the product we believe in!
