U.S. Air Force B-2 bombers struck three Iranian nuclear sites overnight Saturday, sparking reactions from Ohio’s congressional delegation and statewide officials.

U.S. Sen. Jon Husted, R-Ohio; U.S. Rep. Greg Landsman, D-Cincinnati; and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, R-Akron, voiced support for President Trump’s decision to launch the strikes.

U.S. Rep. Joyce Beatty, D-Columbus, raised concerns about the president ordering military action without congressional approval. State Rep. Allison Russo, D-Upper Arlington, criticized the decision and said American troops in the Middle East have been put in “extreme danger.”

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said the strikes “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear program, though further assessment of the damage is ongoing.
