Coca-Cola Opens $90 Million Columbus Campus

Coca-Cola Consolidated has opened a $90 million, 60-acre campus at the Rickenbacker Industrial Center in Columbus, featuring a 400,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility.

The site also includes two 15,000-square-foot maintenance buildings, a sales center, a wellness clinic, and a training facility.

The new facility will handle more than 16 million cases of Coca-Cola products annually, serving Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. It’s expected to create 25 new jobs.

Coca-Cola Consolidated, the largest independent Coca-Cola bottler in the U.S., operates 15 facilities across Ohio.

Perrysburg Highway Renamed for Fallen Vietnam Veteran

A stretch of State Route 199 in Wood County has been renamed the U.S. Army Private First Class Jerry Bockbrader Memorial Highway, honoring a Perrysburg native killed in the Vietnam War.

Bockbrader, a light weapons infantryman, was drafted in 1968 and killed in action at age 20, just months after deploying.

Family, friends, and community members gathered for the dedication ceremony honoring his service and sacrifice more than 50 years after his death.
