Columbus ranked as the nation’s No. 1 city for growth and infrastructure in Site Selection’s 2025 Global Groundwork Index, and Ohio ranked No. 2 among states after consecutive years at No. 1.

Criteria for the rankings included the number of projects, capital investment, jobs created, and infrastructure funding. Ohio was praised for major projects by Intel, Anduril, Google, and others.

Cincinnati ranked No. 3 nationally, the only other Ohio city in the top 10. You can see the complete report here.

The Buckeye State also ranked No. 1 for infrastructure in CNBC’s Top States for Business report.

A 2013 Jabiru J230-SP single-engine plane crashed in a field in Henry County on Friday, killing both people aboard.

Roger Henricks, 85, and Terry Henricks, 82, died, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred after 5 p.m. near County Road Y and Road 14A. Authorities said a preliminary investigation found the plane had been in routine flight before it lost altitude and crashed.

The top-ranked Elder Panthers overcame a 23-0 third-quarter deficit to beat Princeton 32-30 in the Division I, Region 4, semifinal on Friday.

Elder scored 23 unanswered points to tie the game midway through the fourth quarter, but its field goal attempt was blocked and returned for a Princeton touchdown with 1:16 remaining.

Following the kickoff, Elder scored on the first play on a 75-yard touchdown pass but trailed 30-29 after a failed two-point conversion. Elder recovered the ensuing onside kick, and Adam Re’s 22-yard field goal with 12 seconds left capped the Panthers’ 32-30 comeback victory.
