Article Icon 1Teen Driver Safety Week Begins

Sunday marked the start of Teen Driver Safety Week, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol is urging parents to help their children practice in varied driving conditions.

Last year, more than 37,000 teen drivers were involved in crashes in Ohio, including 6,700 who were at fault in injury crashes and 64 in fatal incidents.

Ohio has launched RoadReady Ohio, a new app for drivers with learner permits that helps parents track the required 50 hours of practice their children need before obtaining a license.

More state resources are available at the state’s Teach Your Teen to Drive website.

Central Ohio towns like Upper Arlington, Dublin, Powell, and New Albany rank among the state’s safest, according to a new study.

In all, nine communities were recognized for low crime rates, lower poverty levels, strong community engagement, well-funded public services, and high-performing schools.

Sagamore Hills ranked as Ohio’s safest community with a zero crime rate, offering scenic hikes, a 60-foot waterfall, and Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad excursions among its highlights. Other communities on the list included Olmsted Falls, Perrysburg, Hudson, and Chester Township.

It is a tremendous honor for Dublin to be recognized as one of the nine safest small communities in Ohio,” Dublin Police Chief Justin Páez said.

Unknown Number Calling? It’s Not Random

The BBC caught scam call center workers on hidden cameras as they laughed at the people they were tricking. One worker bragged about making $250k from victims. The disturbing truth? Scammers don’t pick phone numbers at random. They buy your data from brokers.

Once your data is out there, it’s not just calls. It’s phishing, impersonation, and identity theft. That’s why we recommend Incogni: They delete your info from the web, monitor for new threats, and keep erasing your data as new risks appear.
