Article Icon 1SCOTUS Ruling Could Save Ohioans Money

The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from two investor-owned Ohio utilities, letting stand a lower court’s ruling expected to save Ohioans about $400 million on electricity bills by 2031.

More than 2 million customers of American Electric Power, or AES Ohio, will avoid a future surcharge, and federal regulators were directed to reverse surcharges for 3 million customers of FirstEnergy or Duke Energy.

In January, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the utilities had attempted to charge—or were already charging—customers for joining the regional electric grid, a move required by Ohio law.

The former Longaberger Homestead near Newark, once a bustling tourist destination featuring shops and a museum, is back on the market for $5.7 million after several ownership changes over the past decade.

Constructed after the Longaberger Co. finished its iconic basket-shaped headquarters in Newark, the site includes several buildings and a giant apple basket. You can see photos here.

On more than 15 acres at 5825 Raiders Road, the property includes a 70,000-square-foot retail building, a 7,600-square-foot restaurant, and an office of more than 16,000 square feet.

The real estate agency, Lepi & Associates, suggested potential uses for the property: a senior living community, a winery, a hotel, or even a university campus.

It sounds ridiculous at first, but when a top urologist noticed that astronauts almost never suffer from BPH, he started asking questions.

What he uncovered shocked him.

Turns out, the space station staff adds a special ingredient to their water.

It keeps the urinary system clean, powerful, and completely free of the toxic buildup that clogs men’s prostates as they age.

Turns out the same inexpensive ingredient can be used by men on Earth, too, and it works 10 times better than most prostate meds on the market.
