Article Icon 1Ad Urges New Yorkers to ‘Flee’ to Ohio

A Times Square digital billboard urges New Yorkers to “flee” the city and Zohran Mamdani and move to Ohio. See images here.

Mamdani, a 33-year-old democratic socialist, won last month’s Democratic primary for New York City mayor.

The billboard is funded by a political action committee supporting Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign for Ohio governor.

Messages on the billboard include, “Ready to flee NYC? Move to Ohio!” and “Worried about Zohran? Ohio is waiting for you!” It depicts Mamdani as a “radical socialist” and Ramaswamy, a Republican, as “protecting freedom.”

A statewide effort to identify the graves of Revolutionary War veterans in Ohio reached a milestone, with the public helping document more than 1,000 graves.

To assist the ongoing project, the Ohio History Connection recently added a live map on its website that tracks Revolutionary War gravesites across the state. View the map here.

Launched by America 250-Ohio in May, the graves project invites Ohioans to help document burial sites ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration next year.

To take part in the project, residents can download a free app called Survey123. Detailed instructions for public researchers are available here.
