Ohio will extend its 2025 sales tax holiday to two weeks from Aug. 1-14.

Gov. Mike DeWine said the two-week event is designed to help families with back-to-school shopping and everyday household purchases.

Most tangible goods under $500 will be exempt from state sales tax during the period. Included and excluded items are listed here.

Ohio Jewish leaders spoke out after eight people were injured during a pro-Israel demonstration in Boulder, Colorado.

The Youngstown Area Jewish Federation condemned the violence and offered prayers for those injured.

Julie Tilson Stanley, CEO of JewishColumbus, voiced concern about the Boulder attack and highlighted a 42% rise in Columbus-area antisemitic incidents since Oct. 7.
